Frequently Asked Questions:

What is MindCraft?

Mindcraft Therapy focuses on personal growth through creative, evidence-based approaches. We encourage clients to bring their special interests into the process—whether that’s games, art, music, or fandoms—and offer a welcoming space for every kind of mind.

What populations do you serve?

We work with children, teens, and adults. Many of our clients seek support with anxiety, trauma, masking, and navigating life transitions. We are also proud to provide neurodiversity-affirming care, creating space where every mind feels understood and valued.

What services does MindCraft offer?

We are currently offering individual therapy and will have parent/caregiver consultation and special interest groups coming in December of 2025 and groups by Summer 2026.

How Frequent are the sessions?

Pending clinician availability, the sessions can be weekly to monthly. We often encourage that younger children are seen weekly for the first month in order to build rapport before going biweekly.

Do you take insurance?
We are currently getting in network with various insurance panels. As we get paneled, we will continue to add the insurance providers here. If we are out of network with your insurance, we can provide an invoice (superbill) for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Currently we are credentialied with:

Aetna, Cigna, Florida Blue, Blue Cross and Blue Shield,

Ascension (SmartHealth), Carelon Behavioral Health & Quest Behavioral Health

We are also an approved provider of the FES-UA Step Up Scholarship. â€‹â€‹

What are your private pay fees?

Individual sessions are $150

We offer very limited sliding scale fee slots for those that are uninsured.

Do you provide virtual sessions?

Yes. We are licensed to see clients in the state of Florida, as long as you are in a private and confidential space. We encourage kids 8 years old and over do virtual, as it may be difficult to navigate technical issues with those younger.

You mention 'neurodiversity affriming' alot, what does it mean?

Being neurodiversity-affirming means respecting and valuing the different ways neurodivergent individuals process, communicate, and experience the world. At Mindcraft Therapy, our goal is not to change who you are, but to support your unique goals through affirming approaches like AutPlay, Geek Therapy, and creative modalities.

How do Special Interest Groups work?

Special Interest Groups bring together people who share passions—like gaming, movies, books, art, and music—without asking neurodivergent participants to mask or mimic neurotypical peers.

Therapists help guide and support group members in navigating social experiences both inside and outside the group. The focus is on connection, self-expression, and authentic relationships.
